Dr. Farshad Farnejad, MD, MPH, FACS, is a fellowship-trained, dual-board-certified general and critical care surgeon. Additionally, he has earned a Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery designation by the Surgical Review Corporation. Born in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Farnejad grew up in Virginia, receiving his undergraduate degree in biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA. He went on to pursue training in public and global health at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA where he earned a master’s in public health. Dr. Farnejad then attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Following his graduation from medical school, Dr. Farnejad completed a general surgery residency at the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati in Ohio and a fellowship in surgical critical care at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD.
